they recited the quran karim, savoring each word and pondering over its profound meanings. They delved into its verses, extracting guidance and inspiration for their lives.
The Quran’s beauty and wisdom captivated their hearts, prompting them to reflect on its wonders and marvel at its miraculous nature.
Their commitment to the Quran extended beyond mere recitation. They meticulously examined its verses, discerning the general and specific, the abrogated and non-abrogated, and identifying the signs of its divine authorship.
They served as ardent defenders of the Quran’s authenticity, refuting the distortions of extremists and the criticisms of skeptics.
The righteous predecessors never sought to impose their own interpretations or actions upon thequran karim. They understood that true comprehension and adherence to its teachings could only be achieved through careful study and unwavering dedication.
As Ibn Masoud eloquently stated, “If a man among us learned ten verses, he would not go beyond them until he knew their meanings and acted upon them.”
Similarly, Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami recounted, “Those who used to recite us told us that if they knew ten verses, they would not leave them behind until they did what was in them, so we learned the Quran and the work together.”

الر ۚ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَقُرْآنٍ مُّبِينٍ الحجر [1]
Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur'an. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [1]
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ كَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ الحجر [2]
Perhaps those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [2]
ذَرْهُمْ يَأْكُلُوا وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا وَيُلْهِهِمُ الْأَمَلُ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ الحجر [3]
Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [3]
وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعْلُومٌ الحجر [4]
And We did not destroy any city but that for it was a known decree. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [4]
مَّا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ الحجر [5]
No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain thereafter. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [5]
وَقَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ الحجر [6]
And they say, "O you upon whom the message has been sent down, indeed you are mad. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [6]
لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِالْمَلَائِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ الحجر [7]
Why do you not bring us the angels, if you should be among the truthful?" Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [7]
مَا نُنَزِّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوا إِذًا مُّنظَرِينَ الحجر [8]
We do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [8]
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ الحجر [9]
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [9]
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ الْأَوَّلِينَ الحجر [10]
And We had certainly sent [messengers] before you, [O Muhammad], among the sects of the former peoples. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [10]
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ الحجر [11]
And no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [11]
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ الحجر [12]
Thus do We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [12]
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۖ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ الْأَوَّلِينَ الحجر [13]
They will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [13]
وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فَظَلُّوا فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ الحجر [14]
And [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend, Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [14]
لَقَالُوا إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ الحجر [15]
They would say, "Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [15]
وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ الحجر [16]
And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [16]
وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ الحجر [17]
And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah] Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [17]
إِلَّا مَنِ اسْتَرَقَ السَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ الحجر [18]
Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [18]
وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ الحجر [19]
And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [19]
وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُ بِرَازِقِينَ الحجر [20]
And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [20]
وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَائِنُهُ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ الحجر [21]
And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [21]
وَأَرْسَلْنَا الرِّيَاحَ لَوَاقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمُوهُ وَمَا أَنتُمْ لَهُ بِخَازِنِينَ الحجر [22]
And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [22]
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ الْوَارِثُونَ الحجر [23]
And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [23]
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا الْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ الحجر [24]
And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [24]
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ الحجر [25]
And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [25]
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ الحجر [26]
And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [26]
وَالْجَانَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ السَّمُومِ الحجر [27]
And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [27]
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ الحجر [28]
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [28]
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ الحجر [29]
And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [29]
فَسَجَدَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ الحجر [30]
So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [30]
إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ الحجر [31]
Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [31]
قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ الحجر [32]
[Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [32]
قَالَ لَمْ أَكُن لِّأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ الحجر [33]
He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [33]
قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ الحجر [34]
[Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [34]
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ اللَّعْنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ الحجر [35]
And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [35]
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ الحجر [36]
He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [36]
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ الحجر [37]
[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [37]
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ الحجر [38]
Until the Day of the time well-known." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [38]
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ الحجر [39]
[Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [39]
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ الحجر [40]
Except, among them, Your chosen servants." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [40]
قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ الحجر [41]
[Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [41]
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانٌ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْغَاوِينَ الحجر [42]
Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [42]
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ الحجر [43]
And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [43]
لَهَا سَبْعَةُ أَبْوَابٍ لِّكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنْهُمْ جُزْءٌ مَّقْسُومٌ الحجر [44]
It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [44]
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ الحجر [45]
Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [45]
ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ آمِنِينَ الحجر [46]
[Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [46]
وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ الحجر [47]
And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [47]
لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ الحجر [48]
No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [48]
نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ الحجر [49]
[O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [49]
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ الحجر [50]
And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [50]
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الحجر [51]
And inform them about the guests of Abraham, Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [51]
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ الحجر [52]
When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [52]
قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ الحجر [53]
[The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [53]
قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ الحجر [54]
He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [54]
قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ الحجر [55]
They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [55]
قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ الحجر [56]
He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [56]
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ الحجر [57]
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [57]
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ الحجر [58]
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [58]
إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ الحجر [59]
Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [59]
إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَا ۙ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ الحجر [60]
Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [60]
فَلَمَّا جَاءَ آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ الحجر [61]
And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [61]
قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ الحجر [62]
He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [62]
قَالُوا بَلْ جِئْنَاكَ بِمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ الحجر [63]
They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [63]
وَأَتَيْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ الحجر [64]
And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [64]
فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَاتَّبِعْ أَدْبَارَهُمْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَامْضُوا حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ الحجر [65]
So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [65]
وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ ذَٰلِكَ الْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ الحجر [66]
And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [66]
وَجَاءَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ الحجر [67]
And the people of the city came rejoicing. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [67]
قَالَ إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ضَيْفِي فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ الحجر [68]
[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [68]
وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ الحجر [69]
And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [69]
قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ الحجر [70]
They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [70]
قَالَ هَٰؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ الحجر [71]
[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [71]
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ الحجر [72]
By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [72]
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ الحجر [73]
So the shriek seized them at sunrise. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [73]
فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ الحجر [74]
And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [74]
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ الحجر [75]
Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [75]
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُّقِيمٍ الحجر [76]
And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [76]
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ الحجر [77]
Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [77]
وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ لَظَالِمِينَ الحجر [78]
And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [78]
فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ الحجر [79]
So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [79]
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ الحجر [80]
And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [80]
وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ الحجر [81]
And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [81]
وَكَانُوا يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ الحجر [82]
And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [82]
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ الحجر [83]
But the shriek seized them at early morning. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [83]
فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ الحجر [84]
So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [84]
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ ۖ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ الحجر [85]
And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [85]
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْخَلَّاقُ الْعَلِيمُ الحجر [86]
Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [86]
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِّنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ الحجر [87]
And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [87]
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ الحجر [88]
Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [88]
وَقُلْ إِنِّي أَنَا النَّذِيرُ الْمُبِينُ الحجر [89]
And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [89]
كَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى الْمُقْتَسِمِينَ الحجر [90]
Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [90]
الَّذِينَ جَعَلُوا الْقُرْآنَ عِضِينَ الحجر [91]
Who have made the Qur'an into portions. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [91]
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسْأَلَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ الحجر [92]
So by your Lord, We will surely question them all Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [92]
عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ الحجر [93]
About what they used to do. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [93]
فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ الحجر [94]
Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [94]
إِنَّا كَفَيْنَاكَ الْمُسْتَهْزِئِينَ الحجر [95]
Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [95]
الَّذِينَ يَجْعَلُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ الحجر [96]
Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [96]
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ الحجر [97]
And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [97]
فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ الحجر [98]
So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [98]
وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ الحجر [99]
And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). Al-Hijr ( The Rocky Tract ) [99]
