Their approach to the Quran was characterized by utmost respect and meticulous dedication, reflecting their deep understanding of its significance and transformative power.
With unwavering devotion
they recited the quran karim, savoring each word and pondering over its profound meanings. They delved into its verses, extracting guidance and inspiration for their lives.
The Quran’s beauty and wisdom captivated their hearts, prompting them to reflect on its wonders and marvel at its miraculous nature.
Their commitment to the Quran extended beyond mere recitation. They meticulously examined its verses, discerning the general and specific, the abrogated and non-abrogated, and identifying the signs of its divine authorship.
They served as ardent defenders of the Quran’s authenticity, refuting the distortions of extremists and the criticisms of skeptics.
The righteous predecessors never sought to impose their own interpretations or actions upon thequran karim. They understood that true comprehension and adherence to its teachings could only be achieved through careful study and unwavering dedication.
As Ibn Masoud eloquently stated, “If a man among us learned ten verses, he would not go beyond them until he knew their meanings and acted upon them.”
Similarly, Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami recounted, “Those who used to recite us told us that if they knew ten verses, they would not leave them behind until they did what was in them, so we learned the Quran and the work together.”
The righteous predecessors set an exemplary model for approaching the Quran, demonstrating that true understanding and adherence to its teachings stem from a combination of reverence, study, and action.

The Noble Qur'an » Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) - المؤمنون
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ المؤمنون [1]
Certainly will the believers have succeeded: Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [1]
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ المؤمنون [2]
They who are during their prayer humbly submissive Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [2]
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ المؤمنون [3]
And they who turn away from ill speech Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [3]
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ المؤمنون [4]
And they who are observant of zakah Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [4]
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ المؤمنون [5]
And they who guard their private parts Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [5]
إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ المؤمنون [6]
Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [6]
فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ المؤمنون [7]
But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [7]
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ المؤمنون [8]
And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [8]
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ المؤمنون [9]
And they who carefully maintain their prayers - Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [9]
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ المؤمنون [10]
Those are the inheritors Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [10]
الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ المؤمنون [11]
Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [11]
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن سُلَالَةٍ مِّن طِينٍ المؤمنون [12]
And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [12]
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ المؤمنون [13]
Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [13]
ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ المؤمنون [14]
Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [14]
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ المؤمنون [15]
Then indeed, after that you are to die. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [15]
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ المؤمنون [16]
Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [16]
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ المؤمنون [17]
And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [17]
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ المؤمنون [18]
And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [18]
فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ المؤمنون [19]
And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [19]
وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْآكِلِينَ المؤمنون [20]
And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [20]
وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ المؤمنون [21]
And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [21]
وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ المؤمنون [22]
And upon them and on ships you are carried. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [22]
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ المؤمنون [23]
And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [23]
فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ المؤمنون [24]
But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you; and if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [24]
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ المؤمنون [25]
He is not but a man possessed with madness, so wait concerning him for a time." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [25]
قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ المؤمنون [26]
[Noah] said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [26]
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۖ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ المؤمنون [27]
So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [27]
فَإِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ المؤمنون [28]
And when you have boarded the ship, you and those with you, then say, 'Praise to Allah who has saved us from the wrongdoing people.' Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [28]
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِي مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنزِلِينَ المؤمنون [29]
And say, 'My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to accommodate [us].' " Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [29]
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ المؤمنون [30]
Indeed in that are signs, and indeed, We are ever testing [Our servants]. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [30]
ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ المؤمنون [31]
Then We produced after them a generation of others. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [31]
فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ المؤمنون [32]
And We sent among them a messenger from themselves, [saying], "Worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [32]
وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ المؤمنون [33]
And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [33]
وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم بَشَرًا مِّثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَاسِرُونَ المؤمنون [34]
And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [34]
أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُم مُّخْرَجُونَ المؤمنون [35]
Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth [once more]? Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [35]
هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ المؤمنون [36]
How far, how far, is that which you are promised. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [36]
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ المؤمنون [37]
Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [37]
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ المؤمنون [38]
He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [38]
قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ المؤمنون [39]
He said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [39]
قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ المؤمنون [40]
[Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [40]
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ المؤمنون [41]
So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [41]
ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ المؤمنون [42]
Then We produced after them other generations. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [42]
مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ المؤمنون [43]
No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter]. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [43]
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ المؤمنون [44]
Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [44]
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَارُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ المؤمنون [45]
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [45]
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ المؤمنون [46]
To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [46]
فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ المؤمنون [47]
They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [47]
فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ المؤمنون [48]
So they denied them and were of those destroyed. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [48]
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ المؤمنون [49]
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [49]
وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ المؤمنون [50]
And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [50]
يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ المؤمنون [51]
[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [51]
وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ المؤمنون [52]
And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [52]
فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ المؤمنون [53]
But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [53]
فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ المؤمنون [54]
So leave them in their confusion for a time. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [54]
أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مَّالٍ وَبَنِينَ المؤمنون [55]
Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [55]
نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ بَل لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ المؤمنون [56]
Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [56]
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ المؤمنون [57]
Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [57]
وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ المؤمنون [58]
And they who believe in the signs of their Lord Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [58]
وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ المؤمنون [59]
And they who do not associate anything with their Lord Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [59]
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوا وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ المؤمنون [60]
And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [60]
أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ المؤمنون [61]
It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [61]
وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ المؤمنون [62]
And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [62]
بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَالٌ مِّن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُونَ المؤمنون [63]
But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [63]
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ المؤمنون [64]
Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [64]
لَا تَجْأَرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِّنَّا لَا تُنصَرُونَ المؤمنون [65]
Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [65]
قَدْ كَانَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنكِصُونَ المؤمنون [66]
My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [66]
مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِ سَامِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ المؤمنون [67]
In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [67]
أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُم مَّا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ المؤمنون [68]
Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [68]
أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ المؤمنون [69]
Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [69]
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَلْ جَاءَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ المؤمنون [70]
Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [70]
وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ المؤمنون [71]
But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [71]
أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ المؤمنون [72]
Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [72]
وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ المؤمنون [73]
And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [73]
وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ المؤمنون [74]
But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [74]
وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ المؤمنون [75]
And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [75]
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ المؤمنون [76]
And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [76]
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ المؤمنون [77]
Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [77]
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ المؤمنون [78]
And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [78]
وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ المؤمنون [79]
And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [79]
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ المؤمنون [80]
And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [80]
بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ المؤمنون [81]
Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [81]
قَالُوا أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ المؤمنون [82]
They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [82]
لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ المؤمنون [83]
We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [83]
قُل لِّمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَا إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ المؤمنون [84]
Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [84]
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ المؤمنون [85]
They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [85]
قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ المؤمنون [86]
Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [86]
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ المؤمنون [87]
They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [87]
قُلْ مَن بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ المؤمنون [88]
Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [88]
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ المؤمنون [89]
They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [89]
بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ المؤمنون [90]
Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [90]
مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ المؤمنون [91]
Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him]. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [91]
عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ المؤمنون [92]
[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [92]
قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ المؤمنون [93]
Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [93]
رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ المؤمنون [94]
My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [94]
وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ أَن نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُونَ المؤمنون [95]
And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [95]
ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ المؤمنون [96]
Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [96]
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ المؤمنون [97]
And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [97]
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ المؤمنون [98]
And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [98]
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ المؤمنون [99]
[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [99]
لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ المؤمنون [100]
That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [100]
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ المؤمنون [101]
So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [101]
فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ المؤمنون [102]
And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [102]
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ المؤمنون [103]
But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [103]
تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ المؤمنون [104]
The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [104]
أَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ المؤمنون [105]
[It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [105]
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ المؤمنون [106]
They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [106]
رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ المؤمنون [107]
Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [107]
قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ المؤمنون [108]
He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [108]
إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ المؤمنون [109]
Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [109]
فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ المؤمنون [110]
But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [110]
إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ المؤمنون [111]
Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [111]
قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ المؤمنون [112]
[Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [112]
قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ المؤمنون [113]
They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [113]
قَالَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ المؤمنون [114]
He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [114]
أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ المؤمنون [115]
Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [115]
فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ المؤمنون [116]
So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [116]
وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ المؤمنون [117]
And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [117]
وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ المؤمنون [118]
And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." Al-Mu'minoon ( The Believers ) [118]
