As Ibn Masoud eloquently stated, “If a man among us learned ten verses, he would not go beyond them until he knew their meanings and acted upon them.”

Similarly, Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami recounted, “Those who used to recite us told us that if they knew ten verses, they would not leave them behind until they did what was in them, so we learned the Quran and the work together.”

The Noble Qur'an » Al-A'la ( The Most High ) - الأعلى

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى الأعلى [1]
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [1]
الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ الأعلى [2]
Who created and proportioned Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [2]
وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ الأعلى [3]
And who destined and [then] guided Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [3]
وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ الأعلى [4]
And who brings out the pasture Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [4]
فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ الأعلى [5]
And [then] makes it black stubble. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [5]
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰ الأعلى [6]
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [6]
إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ الأعلى [7]
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [7]
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ الأعلى [8]
And We will ease you toward ease. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [8]
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ الأعلى [9]
So remind, if the reminder should benefit; Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [9]
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ الأعلى [10]
He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [10]
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى الأعلى [11]
But the wretched one will avoid it - Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [11]
الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ الأعلى [12]
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [12]
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ الأعلى [13]
Neither dying therein nor living. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [13]
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ الأعلى [14]
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [14]
وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ الأعلى [15]
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [15]
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا الأعلى [16]
But you prefer the worldly life, Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [16]
وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ الأعلى [17]
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [17]
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ الأعلى [18]
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [18]
صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ الأعلى [19]
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. Al-A'la ( The Most High ) [19]
